About otom
Tucked among the loading docks and 19th-century warehouses of Fulton Market – Chicago’s lively meatpacking district – are an enterprising new breed of chic boutiques, avant-garde art galleries, and trendy restaurants. In the midst of this energetic cultural emergence are the innovative sibling restaurants moto and otom, the latest ventures of leading Chicago restaurateur Joseph De Vito. Featuring menus showcasing interactive postmodern cuisine at moto and the culinary mirror image of creative comfort food at otom, stylish, contemporary décor and impeccable service at both, these sister restaurants each provide unforgettable dining experiences and are at the forefront of transforming Fulton Market into this city’s nouveau premier dining destination.
Designed to have a modern, casual, warm feel, the interior of otom fits perfectly into the changing neighborhood. Paul Smith’s iconic stripes balance with the original brick of the former art gallery; resin orange chairs play off the white oak hardwood underfoot. In the lounge, the fireplace casts a warm glow over the low charcoal seating and throughout the space, orange Gerbera daisies provide a sunny element. In addition to lounge and dining seating, guests can choose to sit at the bar or at the convivial communal table. At otom, comfort and creativity meld seamlessly to deliver one of Chicago’s premiere dining experiences.
Dining at otom is a comfortable, chic experience.
